Early life

Sascha grew up with his grandparents who raised him, and he lived with them until high school in Ogulin (Croatia), where he is also the father of the famous Hollywood director Robert Luketic. He is also a cousin of Oscar-winning actor John Malkovich, who was even rumored to be his real biological father, but Sascha denied it.[1]

Career

As a high school student he started working on HRT TV Center Rijeka; DJH, Briljanteen, Tailor-made and many other daily and weekly shows. In 1996, at the invitation of the esteemed editor Zvonko Varosanac, he came to Zagreb, where he became the youngest author to host a two-week very popular show; TV shows about avant-garde culture "Transfer and life style of TV magazine Forum-Stil Života".

Although Sascha enrolled in journalism at the Faculty of Political Science the same year, a chance acquaintance with German producers will definitely open the door to acting for him. Although he did not know the basics of German, it enabled him to guest star in their long-running soap opera Gute Zeiten, Schlechte Zeiten" and the action series Alarm fur Cobra 11" [3] in which he appears as a Serbian mobster.

At the beginning of the new millennium, he got the opportunity to study acting at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts[4] in Los Angeles.In Los Angeles, he married his Serbian colleague Bojana, with whom he has a son Luka. Although divorced today, they still have a great relationship. Sascha has learned to keep his private life out of the public eye.

He made his first film role in 1999 in the Italian trash film Estate D 'Oro (Golden Summer), and a year later he shot the film Ranjena zemlja[5] in Serbia. Due to an argument with the director and frequent departures from filming, he was replaced by another actor, but still remained in some of the final scenes of the film.

He gets small but significant roles in TWD, Twin Peaks 2017, Bates Motel and Scream Queens[6][7][8]. He achieved his greatest success in the cult series American Horror Story. He has played as many as eight different cameo-guest roles in eight seasons of the anthology series. Along with his ex-wife, he was a guest on the popular series NCSI Los Angeles. As an actor, Sascha Malkovich also received an MTV Award for her role in the video for Croatian singer Nina Badrić and her version of the song I'm so excited.
