Džefri Saks
Džefri Dejvid Saks (/s ӕ k s / saks; Ouk Park, 5. novembar 1954)[1] američki je ekonomista, akademik, analitičar javnih politika i univerzitetski profesor.

Biografija
urediDžefri Saks je bivši direktor Instituta za Zemlju na Univerzitetu Kolumbija, gde je univerzitetski profesor.[2][3] Poznat je po svom radu na održivom razvoju, ekonomskom razvoju i borbi za okončanje siromaštva.[4]
Saks se 1980. pridružio fakultetu na Harvardu kao docent, a 1982. unapređen je u vanrednog profesora. Godinu dana kasnije, sa 28 godina, postao je profesor ekonomije (tenure) na Harvardu.[5]
On je savetovao nekoliko zemalja o ekonomskoj politici, uključujući Ujedinjene Arapske Emirate.[6][7]
Osudio je NATO bombardovanje Srbije 1999. i smatra da je u pitanju nečuven i negativan potez.[8]

Saks živi u Njujorku sa suprugom Sonjom Erlih Saks, pedijatrom. Imaju troje dece.[9][10][11]
