Sara Čerčil, vojvotkinja od Malboroa
Sara Čerčil vojvotkinja od Malboroa (5. jun 1660. - 18. oktobar 1744) bila je žena Džona Čerčila, prvog vojvode od Malboroa, a takođe i bliska prijateljica Ane kraljice Velike britanije, pa je u tim okolnostima bila jedna od najuticajnijih žena tog vremena.[1]

Zbog svog opštepoznatog prijateljstva sa kraljicom Sara je dobijala dosta pažnje javnih i uticajnih ličnosti koje su se nadale da će ona uticati kod kraljice koja je trebala da prihvati neke njihove zahteve.[2]
Odnosi između njih dve su vremenom postajali zategnuti oko neslaganja za neka politička, sudska ili crkvena imenovanja. Sve je to kulminiralo 1711. godine kada su se njih dve definitivno udaljile i razišle. Tada je Sara otpuštena iz suda, a njen muž bio povučen sa svojih funkcija. Tada oni napuštaju Englesku i putuju Evropom, s obzirom da je njen muž Džon zbog svog uspeha u Ratu za špansko nasleđe postigao veliki uspeh bili su primani sa svim počastima na nemačkim dvorovima i u Rimskom carstvu.
U Englesku se nisu vratili dok kraljica Ana nije umrla 1. avgusta 1714. godine u Kensingtonskoj palati. Nakon toga Sara je iskoristila svoje umeće na poslovnom planu i ubrzo zaradila dosta novca kupovinom manjih imanja. Taj trend uspešnog poslovanja se nastavio i posle smrti njenog muža Džona 1722. godine. Čak je kupila i tada čuveni dvorac Vimbldon.[3]
Na političkom planu je bila aktivna sve do svoje smrti 18. oktobra 1744. godine u svojoj 84. godini. Sahranjena je u palati Blenhajm.
