Блоку су од почетка припадале и [[Социјалистичка Федеративна Република Југославија|Југославија]] и [[Народна Република Албанија|Албанија]], али су обе изашле из Источног блока - Југославија због [[раскол Тито—Стаљин|раскола Тита са Стаљином]] [[1948]]. године, а Албанија зато што се током [[Кинеско-совјетски раскол|кинеско-совјетског раскола]] определила за [[маоизам|маоистичку]] [[Кина|НР Кину]].
