Glastonberi festival

Glastonberi festival (eng. Glastonbury Festival) je petodnevni festival koji se održava u mestu Pilton, Somerset u Engleskoj. Održava se skoro svake godine krajem juna i početkom jula. Pored savremene muzike, festival nudi i programe koji uključuju ples, pozorište, cirkus, kabare i druge umetnosti. Vodeći pop i rok umetnici su se pojavili na glavnim binama.

Glastonberi je najveći travnati festival na svetu i trenutno može da primi oko 200.000 ljudi, međutim to zahteva veliku infrastrukturu u smislu bezbednosti, transporta, vode i snabdevanja električnom energijom. Većina osoblja su volonteri, pomažući festivalu da prikupi milione funti za humanitarne svrhe. [1][2][3]

Festival Glastonberi održavan je sa manjim prekidima od 1970. do 1981. godine; od tada se održava svake godine, sa izuzecima u nekim godinama gde se uzima pauza, uglavnom u petogodišnjim intervalima, sa namerom da se zemljište, lokalno stanovništvo i organizatori odmore. 2018. bila je takva godina, a sledeći festival održan je od 26. do 30. juna 2019.
