Denis Hoper
Denis Hoper (engl. Dennis Lee Hopper; Dodž Siti, 17. maj 1936 — Venis, 29. maj 2010) bio je američki glumac, režiser, fotograf i umetnik.[1]

Biografija uredi
Tokom detinjstva se zainteresovao za glumu, koju je učio u Studiju Aktors.[1] Prvi put se pojavio na televiziji 1954. godine, a zatim je s Džejmsom Dinom glumio u dva filma — Buntovnik bez razloga (Rebel Without a Cause; 1955) i Div (Giant; 1956).[2] U sledećih desetak godina Hoper se u ulozi gostujućeg glumca pojavljivao često na televiziji, a do kraja šezdesetih godina 20. veka dobivao je sporedne uloge u nekoliko filmova. Režirao je i glumio u filmu Goli u sedlu (Easy Rider; 1969), za koji je dobio nagradu na Kanskom festivalu i bio predložen za Oskara za najbolji originalni scenario kao koautor.[3]
Povodom toga je novinarka En Hornadej (Ann Hornaday) napisala: „Sa svojim portretom heroja kontrakulture, podižući srednji prst na licemerje srednje klase, film Goli u sedlu je postao kinematografski simbol šezdesetih godina 20. veka, celuloidna himna slobode, mačo bravado i pobuna protiv establišmenta.” Filmski kritičar Metju Hejz (Matthew Hays) zapazio je da „nijedna druga ličnost ne označava bolje izgubljeni idealizam šezdesetih godina 20. veka od Denisa Hopera”.
Tokom poslednjih godina života bolovao je od raka prostate, od kojeg je i umro 29. maja 2010. u svojoj kući u Venisu u Kaliforniji.[1]
