OpisConcave mirror, Scottish Lighthouse Museum - geograph.org.uk - 562674.jpg
English: Concave mirror, Scottish Lighthouse Museum. The photo shows the reflected enlarged image of the lamp, seen above the smaller direct view of the lamp. The concave mirror is used to concentrate the light into a horizontal beam. It is not as efficient as the fresnel lens like 562670 used formerly with paraffin lamps, but doesn't have to be because the electric lamp is more powerful.
