Català: Un desmosoma, també conegut com macula adherens (Llatí: punt adherent), és una estructura cel·lular especialitzada en l'adhesió cèl·lula a cèl·lula en cèl·lules animals. Un tipus de complex d'unió, són adherències localitzades en forma de taques disposades aleatòriament als costats laterals de les membranes plasmàtiques.
English: A desmosome, also known as macula adherens (Latin: adhering spot), is a cell structure specialized for cell-to-cell adhesion in animal cells. A type of junctional complex, they are localized spot-like adhesions randomly arranged on the lateral sides of plasma membranes
