CBGB
Umesto toga je, međutim, postao omiljeno mesto pank i novotalasnih bendova, kao što su: Ramones, Misfits, Television, Patti Smith Group, Mink DeVille, The Dead Boys, The Dictators, The Fleshtones, The Voidoids, The Cramps, The B-52's, Blondie, Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, The Shirts i Talking Heads. Chaos, Cro-Mags, Warzone, Gorilla Biscuits, Sick of It All i Youth of Today.[1][2] Godine 2006. je zatvoren zbog spora oko plaćanja najamnine.[3]
