Alesandro Nivola

Alesandro Antine Nivola (engl. Alessandro Antine Nivola; Boston, 28. jun 1972)[1] američki je glumac. Nominovan je za nagradu Toni i Spirit, a dobitnik je nagrade Udruženja filmskih glumaca i Britanske nezavisne filmske nagrade, te nagrade za najboljeg glumca na Trajbeka filmskom festivalu.

Detinjstvo i mladost

Rođen je u Bostonu, u Masačusetsu. Njegova majka Virdžinija (rođ. Dejvis) je umetnica, a otac Pjetro Salvator Nivola bio je profesor političkih nauka i viši saradnik na Institutu Brukings.[2][3][4] Deda po ocu mu je bio italijanski vajar Kostantino Nivola,[5] a baba Rut Gugenhajm bila je jevrejska izbeglica iz Nemačke.[6][7][8][9][10][11] Njegov brat Adrijan Nivola, slikar, pet je godina mlađi od njega. Pohađao je Akademiju Filips Ekseter i Univerzitet Jejl. Neko vreme je živeo u Burlingtonu, u Vermontu, gde je pohađao Školu Mejter Kristi, službu Sestara milosrdnica.

Privatni život

U januaru 2003. oženio se britanskom glumicom Emili Mortimer u Bakingemširu. Imaju dvoje dece, a žive u Bruklinu.[12] Brakom je postao britanski državljanin, a Mortimerova američka državljanka.[13]
