Grudnjak
Grudnjak (takođe: brushalter, nem. Büstenhalter; be-ha, nem. BH), deo je ženskog intimnog veša koji pokriva grudi. Grudnjak ima brojne funkcije, modna, pridržavanje dojki i ispunjavanje određenih društvenih očekivanja. Kupaći kostimi, kamisoli i haljine bez leđa mogu imati ugrađenu potporu za grudi sa potpornim korpama grudnjaka. Grudnjaci za dojenje su dizajnirani da olakšaju dojenje. Neke osobe imaju medicinske i hirurške potrebe za grudnjacima, ali većina ih nosi iz modnih ili kulturnih razloga.
Grudnjaci su stekli značaj izvan njihove puke funkcionalnosti kao odevnog predmeta. Društvene percepcije o idealnom obliku ženskog tela, koje se vremenom menjaju, utiču na izbor žena o tome kakav grudnjak da nose. Grudnjaci su postali modni predmet i kulturna izjava koje nosilac ponekad namenski otkrije ili ih čak nosi kao gornju odeću.
Grudnjaci su složena odeća izrađena od mnogih delova. Proizvodni standardi pretpostavljaju idealizovane, standardne oblike i veličine dojki koji se ne podudaraju sa većinom tela. Kompanije koriste sujetne veličine, utičući na kupovinu veličina koje ostavljaju utisak da je nosilac npr. vitkija. Pored toga, međunarodni proizvodni standardi i metode merenja se veoma razlikuju. Zbog ovih izazova, mnogim osobama je teško da pronađu grudnjak odgovarajuće veličine. Kada pronađu onaj koji izgleda da im odgovara, oni imaju tendenciju da nastave da nosi istu veličinu grudnjaka uprkos povećanju ili gubitku kilograma. Svi ovi faktori dovode do toga da do 85 procenata žena koje nose grudnjake odaberu i nose pogrešnu veličinu.[1][2] Zbog poteškoća u pronalaženju ispravno postavljenog grudnjaka, većina žena često oseća nelagodu dok nosi grudnjak.
Mnoge žene veruju, da nošenje grudnjaka dovodi do sprečavanja opuštanja grudi. Međutim, to je zabluda, do opuštanja dolazi zbog drugih stvari, pre svega zavisi od veličine i oblika grudi. Pojedini istraživači preporučuju ženama da ne nose grudnjake, već da dopuste grudima da se slobodno kreću, naročito prilikom trčanja jer na taj način jačaju ligamente koji drže grudi čvrstim.[3]
Etimologija uredi
Izraz brassiere (grudnjak), iz francuskog brassière, koristile su novine Ivning Herald u Sirakjusu, Njujork, 1893. godine.[4] Izraz je šire prihvaćen 1904. godine kada ga je kompanija Debevojs koristila u svojoj reklamnoj kopiji - mada ta reč zapravo u francuskom jeziku označava dečiju potkošulju. Na francuskom se grudnjak naziva soutien-gorge (doslovno, „oslonac grla”).[5] Rane verzije grudnjaka su podsećale na uštirkani kamisol.[6]
Časopis Voug prvi je put upotrebio izraz grudnjak 1907,[7][8] i do 1911. ta reč se našla u Oksfordskom engleskom rečniku.[9] Dana 3. novembra 1914, novoformirana američka patentna kategorija za „grudnjake” inaugurisana je prvim patentom izdatim za Meri Felps Džejkob.[10][11]
Istorijat uredi
Prve grudnjake su nosile žene još u Antičkoj Grčkoj. Ovi grudnjaci imali su naziv apodesmos (grč. ἀπόδεσμος)[12] i najčešće su se pravili od vune.
Rani grudnjaci uredi
Nošenje odeće koja podržava grudi možda datira još iz antičke Grčke.[13] Žene su nosile apodesmos,[14] kasnije stetodesm,[15] mastodesmos[16] i mastodeton,[17] što sve znači „pojas za grudi“, traku od vune ili platna koja je bila omotana preko grudi i vezana ili zakačena nazad.[18][19] Rimljanke su nosile narukvice tokom sporta, poput onih prikazanih na mozaiku Krunisanje pobednika (takođe poznatom kao „mozaik bikinija“).
Veruje se da su fragmenti lanenog tekstila pronađeni u zamku Lengberg u istočnom Tirolu u Austriji datirani između 1440. i 1485. godine bili grudnjaci. Dva od njih su imala čaše od dva komada platna sašivenog tkaninom koja se pružala do dna torza sa nizom od šest ušica za pričvršćivanje čipkom ili kanapom. Jedan je imao dve naramenice i bio je ukrašena čipkom u dekolteu.[20][21]
