Kulturna ekonomija

Kulturna ekonomija je grana ekonomije koja proučava odnos kulture i ekonomske rezultate. 'Kultura' je definisana zajedničkim verovanjima i željama odgovarajućih grupa. Programska pitanja uključuju da li i koliko je kultura važna za ekonomske rezultate i kakav je njen odnos sa institucijama.[1]

Primenjuje se kroz proučavanje religije,[2] društvene norme,[3] socijalnog identiteta,[4] plodnosti,[5] verovanje u redistributivnu pravdu,,[6] ideologije,[7] mržnje,[8] terorizma,[9] poverenja,[10] i kulture ekonomije.[11][12] Opšti analitička tema je kako se ideje i ponašanja šire među pojedincima kroz formiranje društvenog kapitala,[13] po društvenim mrežama[14] i procesima, kao što su socijalna učenja, kao i u teoriji socijalne evolucije[15] i informacionih kaskada.[16] Metode uključuju studije slučaja, teorijska i empirijska modelovanje kulturnog prenosa unutar i po društvenim grupama.[17] Godine 2013. je Said D. Davlabani dodao pristup vrednosnih sistema aspektu kulturnog nicanja makroekonomije.[18]
