The dispute is about: the identified 1,3 vs 1,6 nomenclature is only correct for linkage between residies within the two separate oligomers ("1,3" for the n-mer and "1,6" for the m-mer). The link between the two cannot be both 1,3 and 1,6 (contradictory). Overall, confuses the nomenclature for within one structure (the individual numbers with respect to one ring) with the number-pairs (the linkage between two rings).
