Sorry, I don't speak Serbian, but I have some questions concerning how to transcribe Chinese into Serbian Cyrillic. It's very intersting because Serbian and Chinese share some sounds which are rarely found in other languages like ђ and ћ. Serbian transcription is basically Пинјин, but with Cyrillic letters. The guide is in the section Ханју пинјин и српска транскрипција and others questions were answered by looking up Serbian articles about Chinese cities. But there is one left. You could use it to improve your article too. How do you transcribe "ü" (ИПА: [y]) into Serbian? "liu" is љу because of Љу Сјанг and "lu" is probably лу, but what is "lü" and "lüe"? "lüe" could be луе since "lue" doesn't exist, so there would be no confusion, but "lü" is still a mystery. Then there is the problem with distinguishing jiu/jü (ђ), qiu/qü (ћ), xiu, xü (сј in Montenegrin variety). If I understood the Serbian language structure correctly, it's unnecessary to write ђиу and ћиу because ђ and ћ are already soft. In fact, according to Ђуђанг, jiu = Ђу. Again the ü is the problem. What would be "jü" and "qü"? You could write сју for "xiu", but then again "xü" is left over and you can't omit the ј because су = su. Hope you can understand me and help. :If I understand you correctly, I hope my answer will be satisfying. For starters, almost everything regarding Serbian transcription of Chinese is located on this page. Everything else (on Serbian Wikipedia atleast) should be used with caution, because it might be unsynchronized with Serbian orthography. Regarding the Chinese "ü", we have: Традиционално ће кинеско ü остати у, а не прећи у и. (Traditionally will Chinese "ü" stay "u", without transforming into "i".) Therefore are "lü, lüe, nü, nüe" transcribed as if they were "lu, lue, nu, nue" (лу, луе, ну, нуе). I guess that same goes for "jü, qü, xü" (ђу, ћу, сју), even though they aren't mentioned in official orthography. To sum up, these differences can't be observed in Serbian transcription. --Lakisan97 (разговор) 15:30, 13. јануар 2015. (CET)
