Streptophyta, neformalno streptophytes (od grčke reči strepto sa značenjem „uvrnut”, i.e., morfologija sperme pojedinih članova), je klada biljki. Kompozicija klade znatno varira među autorima. Definicija koja je ovde primenjena, obuhvata kopnene biljke i sve zelene alge izuzev Chlorophyta i možda u većoj meri bazalnih Mesostigmatophyceae, Chlorokybophyceae, i Spirotaenia.^[3]

Klasifikacije уреди

Kompozicija Streptophyta i sličnih grupa (Streptophytina, Charophyta) varira među klasifikacijama.^[4] Pojedini autori su u većoj meri restriktivni, te uključuju samo Charales i Embryophyta (e.g., Streptophyta Jeffrey 1967; Adl et al. 2012, Streptophytina Lewis & McCourt 2004), dok drugi uključuju više grupa (e.g., Charophyta Lewis & McCourt 2004; Karol et al. 2009; Adl et al. 2012, Streptophyta Bremer, 1985; de Reviers 2002; Leliaert et al. 2012, Streptobionta Kenrick & Crane 1997; neki autori koriste ovu širu definiciju, ali isključuju Embryophyta, e.g., Charophyta Cavalier-Smith 1993;^[5] Leliaert et al. 2012, Charophyceae Mattox & Stewart, 1984, Streptophycophytes de Reviers, 2002).

Te ranije klasifikacije nisu uzimale u obzir da su se Coleochaetophyceae i Zygnemophyceae pojavile u Charophyceae + Embryophyta kladi, što je dovelo do upotrebe sinonima Phragmoplastophyta i Streptophytina/Streptophyta u striktnom smislu (a.k.a. Adl 2012).^[6]
