Оклопници
Armadilosi ili oklopnici (Cingulata) su red placentalnih sisara sa samo dve savremene porodice, Chlamyphoridae i Dasypodidae.[1] Postojale su još dve grupe oklopnika koje su bile mnogo veće od savremenih vrsta (najveća od savremenih vrsta džinovski oklopnik dostiže težinu do 45 kg)[2], a to su porodica pampaske zveri (Pampatheriidae), koji su težili do 200 kg[3] i potporodica gliptodonti (Glyptodontinae) (u okviru porodice Chlamyphoridae), koji su dostizali težinu do oko 2.000 kg[4].

Rasprostranjenost uredi
Pripadnici reda naseljavaju Novi svet. Red je nastao u Južnoj Americi tokom paleocena, a tokom pliocena[5] ili ranog pleistocena[6] raširio se i u Severnu Ameriku preko kopnenog mosta nastalog izdizanjem Panamskog zemljouza.
Klasifikacija uredi
Nakon objave rezultata filogenetske analize (izvršena je analiza mitohondrijalnog DNK roda Doedicurus) 2016. gliptodonti, koji su ranije smatrani za posebnu porodicu su uključeni kao potporodica u novostvorenu porodicu Chlamyphoridae, koja je nastala izdvajanjem potporodica Euphractinae i Tolypeutinae (pri čemu su dva roda izdvojena iz potporodice Euphractinae u novu potporodicu Chlamyphorinae porodice Chlamyphoridae) iz porodice Dasypodidae u kojoj je ostala sammo potporodica Dasypodinae.[7]
