Tergud Maršal
Tergud Maršal (engl. Thurgood Marshall; Baltimor, Merilend, SAD, 2. jul 1908 — Betesda, Merilend, 24. januar 1993) je bio američki advokat koji je služio kao pridruženi sudija Vrhovnog suda Sjedinjenih Američkih Država. Maršal je bio prvi Afroamerikanac na položaju pridruženog sudije.

Pre nego što je postao sudija, bio je advokat koji je ostao upamćen po visokom procentu dobijenih predmeta pred Vrhovnim sudom, uključujući i pobedu u procesu Braun protiv Odbora za obrazovanje. Pojavljivao se pred Vrhovnim sudom više nego bilo koji drugi advokat u istoriji.[2]
Predsednik SAD Lindon Džonson imenovao je Turguda Maršala u Vrhovni sud nakon povlačenja sudije Toma Klarka. Njegovo imenovanje je potvrđeno u Senatu glasovima 69 senatora, dok je 11 bilo protiv. Maršal je ostao u Sudu 24 godine. Pripadao je liberalnom krilu, a njegov najveći saveznik u Sudu je bio Vilijam Dž. Brenan. Njih dvojica su retko glasali različito, a žestoko su se protivili smrtnoj kazni.
Godine 1991. objavio je da se povlači iz Suda, iako je bio nezadovoljan što će njegovu zamenu birati Džordž H. V. Buš.[3] Buš je na kraju imenovao Klarensa Tomasa za novog pridruženog sudiju.
