Conoryctidae
Conoryctidae (Konoriktidae — „kupasti kopači”) je izumrla porodica placentalnih sisara iz izumrlog reda Taeniodonta, koja je u periodu od ranog paleocena do ranog eocena nastanjivala područje Evrope[4] i Sjeverne Amerike.[5][6][7][8][9] Ovu porodicu sisara su činile potporodice Conoryctinae i Eurodontinae. Stručni naziv za članove ove porodice sisara je konoriktidi.

Opis
urediVrste iz porodice Conoryctidae su po građi nalikovale rodu Onychodectes. Lice kod ovi sisara je bilo kratko, a donja vilica je bila robusna. Udovi su bili dugi i robusni. Potkoljenične kosti nisu bile spojene. Podlaktične kosti takođe nisu bile spojene, tako da se palčana kost mogla okretati na lakatnoj kosti.[9] I na prednjim i na zadnjim stopalima su posjedovali po pet prstiju sa kandžama. Prvi i peti prsti na nogama su kraći od ostali prstiju. Predstavnici ove porodice su se kretali plantigradno.[10]
Ponašanje i paleoekologija
urediVrste iz porodice Conoryctidae su bile polufosorijalni kopneni svaštojedi.[9] Hranile su se većinski sa hranom biljnog porijekla (sa tvrdim biljkama, korijenjem i krtolama), ali i sa hranom životinjskog porijekla (sa malim sisarima i insektima).[9]
