Crotaphytidae
Crotaphytidae je porodica [1] [2] [3] pustinjskih gmizavaca koja naseljava jugozapadni deo Sjedinjenih Američkih Država i severne oblastiMeksika. U nekim klasifikacionim sistemima prepoznata je kao potfamilija, Crotaphytinae. Pripadnici ove familije su veoma brze životinje, sa dugačkim ekstremitetima i repovima. Obligatni su mesožderi, hrane se uglavnom insektima i manjim gušterima.
