izumrli rod placentalni sisara
Metapterodon (Metapterodon — „pored Pterodona”) je izumrli rod placentalnih sisara, iz izumrlog plemena Metapterodontini unutar izumrle parafiletske potporodice Hyainailourinae i izumrle parafiletske porodice Hyainailouridae, koji je u periodu od ranog oligocena do ranog miocena nastanjivao područje Afrike.[5][6][7]
