Neoaves
Neoaves je klada koja se sastoji od svih modernih ptica (Neornithes ili Aves) sa izuzetkom Paleognathae (Ratite i srodnici) i Galloanserae (patke, kokoške i srodnici). Gotovo 95% od oko 10.000 poznatih vrsta savremenih ptica pripada Neoaves.

Rana diverzifikacija raznih grupa u okviru Neoaves dogodila se ubrzo nakon događaja izumiranja na granici krede i paleogena,[2]. Dosadašnji pokušaji da se razriješe međusobne veze unutar grupe rezultirali su u mnogo kontroverzi i oprečnih scenarija.[3][4]
Filogenija
urediJednu hipotezu o filogeniji savremenih ptica predstavili su Prum, R. O. i sar. (2015)[5] Sledeći kladogram ilustruje predložene veze, sa nekim imenima taksona koji prate Juri, T. i sar. (2013)[6] i Kimbel i sar. 2013.[7]
