Srednjoevropska nizija
Ona zahvata severne delove Nemačke i Poljske (odatle joj i naziv Nemačko-poljska nizija)
Geografija
urediNadmorska visina varira između 0 i 200 m (0 do oko 650 stopa). Iako se uglavnom koristi kao poljoprivredno zemljište, region takođe sadrži močvare, vresišta i jezera. Vadensko more, veliko područje plime i oseke, nalazi se na obali Severnog mora.
Brojne slatkovodne lagune, uključujući Ščećinsku lagunu,[7][8] lagunu Visla[9] i Kuršsku lagunu[10][11] nalaze se na obali Baltičkog mora.
Odlike i reljef
Lokacija
urediSevernoevropska ravnica obuhvata Flandriju (severna Belgija i severna Francuska), Holandiju, severnu Nemačku, Dansku i veći deo centralno-zapadne Poljske; dodiruje i Češku i jugozapadni deo Švedske.
Delovi istočne Engleske se takođe mogu smatrati delom iste ravnice; pošto dele njen nizinski karakter i bili su povezani kopnom sa kontinentom tokom poslednjeg ledenog doba. Severnoevropske ravnice se takođe nalaze ispod Baltičkog mora.
Reke
